I've been the biggest fan of the Artist Residence Hotels since forever. I love their story, love their interiors and I absolutely adored my stay at their Penzance hotel early this year. Mr W and I had a couple of days to fill our lungs with sea air, get sand on our toes and enjoy the delights of Cornwall, and we couldn't have picked a more wonderful place to wake up in the morning and lay our heads down at night.
We were lucky enough to get given (what i think!) is the best room at the hotel, Room 17. For fans (or not!) it has the most beautiful freestanding bath in the room, one of my favourite Stephen Cadloff prints and is just pretty much the most beautiful hotel room I've ever stayed in. You don't just have to take my word for it, and i'll stop talking so you can take a look...
The most beautiful bed, I am not joking when i say i had the best night's sleep here; it had the fluffiest of pillows, snuggliest of duvets and the comfiest mattress I have ever slept on too.
I loved the detail in this room, in particular the bedside table; the Anglepoise, the Roberts Radio, the distressed bedside table was just wonderful.
You know my love for a free standing bath, under a beautiful Stephen Cadloff print.
I loved the bathing treats on offer and absolute adore Bramley products. If you haven't tried these yet, you really must!
Sorry! One last one... (maybe!)
Its the small things that give the biggest smiles when you go away. At Artist Residence there were Tunnock's Caramels in the room for when we got in from a day at the beach. Perfect little afternoon treat with a cup of Joe's Tea.
The BARN, the restaurant was also so amazing, and would highly recommend even if you aren't staying at the AR. Breakfast was also so yummy; Beans on Toast, yes please!
Gorgeous wing chair taking centre stage in this corner. I love this leather colour against the beautifully muted grey.
Okay, one last snap of that bath!
Where have you stayed that is oh so wow? I'd love to hear your recommendations.
